Kathrine is her name. I was surprised myself, who would have thought that Lotuk would have named his daughter Kathrine.
"He didn't"
she reminds me as I move to the other side of the boat. Kathrine has graciously let me use her blackberry to post to this site until we reach Greenland. Which is a good thing because I don't think that I could have held my breath any longer with out passing out.
Of all the faults that Lotuk had his skill for hording, honed through a lifetime of paranoid schizophrenia has served me,
"Us, and you don't have to quote me every time I correct you."
"It adds to the story"
"It's distracting"
"keep talking, your killing our story"
I said as I moved back to the other side of the boat,
"Stop talking while your writing,"
Lotuk's distrust of mankind led him to stock enough water, rum and if you count squash and puffin jerky as fruit, fruit for one person for three months. This is not an accurate account ofthe provisions its a rough estimate based on my assessment of a six week voyage up the cost of Labrador and then Newfoundland.
Salutations,
Matt
P.S. To be continued....
